A discussion of an attorney's duty to be competent in technology, including a discussion of the relevant ABA and Texas ethics opinions on technology issues. Also includes real world examples where attorneys failed to comply with their duties of competency and confidentiality as it relates to technology and terms of service of well-known third-party providers that a lawyer needs to be aware of to ensure client confidential information is protected.  This course qualifies for 1:00 hour CLE Credit and .50 hour Ethics Credit.
